August 6, 2003 Sacramento – "Powerful labor unions threatened retribution Tuesday against any Democrat who challenges Gov. Gray
Davis on the recall ballot and prepared to spend millions of dollars for the embattled governor...Miguel Contreras, head of the 800,000-member Los Angeles County Federation of Labor, said prominent Democrats are being asked to
stay off the ballot, stand with labor and the Democratic party -- or face a stick as punishment."
August 27, 2003 Manhattan Beach CA—"Miguel Contreras, executive secretary-treasurer of the Los Angeles County Federation of Labor, the largest component of the
federation, said: ‘Our position is no, no, no on the recall. We also recommend a vote for Bustamante.’ "
It seems that organized labor can’t make up its mind what to do in California. What is apparent...they will do or say anything to buy a friendly shill for governor.
The California unions don’t really care who the governor is...as long as they own him.
